Common Entrance Exam

A trusted Common Entrance Math tutor can provide essential support for students preparing for the 11+ or 13+ entrance exams. The Common Entrance Exam (CEE) is a set of standardized assessments for students applying to UK independent senior schools. It is available at 11+ (Year 6) and 13+ (Year 8).

The Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) creates and regulates these exams. ISEB represents top UK independent schools through associations like HMC, GSA, and IAPS.

Most students take the Common Entrance only after receiving a conditional offer. This means they must pass the exam to confirm their place. Examiners set the papers, and either the admitting school or the student’s prep school marks them.

Students usually take the exam at their current school.

For 11+ entry, the subjects tested include English, Math, and Science. This level is especially common for girls entering senior school. The 13+ Common Entrance covers the same core subjects. It also offers optional papers in French, Geography, History, and Latin. Schools may hold these exams in the autumn, spring, or summer term.

Vic provides tailored lessons to help students strengthen weak areas and improve their problem-solving ability. As an experienced Common Entrance Math tutor, Vic uses past papers and proven strategies to boost performance and confidence.
